My friend came to Japan part 2

The 2nd day,

I took a day off and I showed my friend around Tokyo at my first time.

Actually,I didn't know what should I show her...

But it was no problem.The weather was super sunny!

We left my apartment at 9:00 in the morning:) 

At first,we were thinking go to Korean town,caled Shin-Okubo.

This blog is "The JPN Journal"....But both she and I like Korea very much;)

Way to the town,we got off "Iidabashi",because there is a nice cafe.

Along the Kanda river,there are a lot of beautiful cherry trees and all of them were full of bloom.

But the time was too early.Unfortunately,the cafe opens at 11:30.

We gave up the cafe,then we went to Shin-Okubo.

And we ate  Samgyeopsal.It's popular Korean dish which is baked pork with kimuchi and vegetables.

Recently Korean entertament is very popular in Japan.

I prefer Korean food:)haha

In the afternoon,,,,we had hanami in Shinjuku-Gyoen.We could walk between Shin-Okubo and the park through Shinjuku city.

There aren't many people because it was weekday and day time.

We bought beer in convinience store and tried to bring the park.But we couldn't drink alcohol inside there for the park's rule:((((    Then we gave up.

We gave up the cafe in the morning and drinking beer....Am I really guide in Tokyo!?

Any way,there are some nice place to see cherry blossoms in Tokyo.

If you want to drink under the trees,,,,you should go to Ueno park(it's my favorite)

Or if you are okay only soft drinks,,,you can go to Shinjuku Gyoen.(200yen to enter the park)

Or if you JUST want to see cherry trees,,,,you will go to Chidori ga huchi.

And then,we went to Asakusa.

Way to Sensouji,there are a lot of small stores sold traditional Japanese stuffs.

We ate something all day,but we got hungry.

When in restaurant,it's difficult to read Japanses menu.Some reastaurants,they have food sample in front of the entrance.

You can choose dish you want to eat in such a reautrant;)

That night,I ate Hire katsu(fried pork).The reasutaurant we went was for tourists,but the food was really dericious!!!

When you eat there,you can feel this is real Japanese food.

After having a dinner,we went back to my apartment.

I walked a lot the day!!

We talked and drunk again until the late,,,I really didn't want to go to work the next day><

It was nice and fun day for me:))))

My friend came to Japan part 1

My friend alreay has gone back to her home.
Last week,I spent fun time with her,and I could show her around Tokyo.
The first night,I tried to meet her at Tokyo st. after work.
I was really worried whatever we could meet there without any problems,because there were a lot of people at that time.
I went to platfall of Shinkan sen,then we could meet:)


Soon after I met her,I took her to my favorite Yakitori resutaurant.
The restaurant is in Yurakucho,it's next to the Tokyo st.We got the train only one station on Yamanote line.
Usually I walk between these town.

This restaurant's menu is written by only Japanese.I'll tell you the detail in another article^_^
We could have seats on my favorite place outside.
Inside this restaurant,there are not much of space.That's so Japan,but I don't like it..haha
But if you want to experince it,you should try to eat inside.
We could spend very fun night.
The next day,I showed her around Tokyo!It was my first time to be a guide,so I was so excited!!

Sakura

♪Sakura～　Sakura～

There are many songs about it.Recently the weather is getting warm and cherry flowers start blooming.

Last year,I went to Ueno park,and it's famous for hanami,with my friends at night.

There were no illuminated and only few people and stalls because we had to save electricity for the earthquake.

But this year,there are many people in the park,and I heard about that on TV.

I'm excited to go there next week><I'll take photos!

I prefer to have hanami with friends though,we also have it with colleague.

Japanese people go out to drink after work very often.

Hanami is just change of place.haha

April is special for Japanese because our school and company start every April.

Entrance ceremony is held in this season.

I feel "new" something every year.I wanted new notebook,new pen case and new friend as a teenager:)

-_-....Back to hanami.

Fresh employers(men) have a first job.

It's to keep place for hanami.They go to a park early and spread out large sheet at a place to be able to see cherry trees very well.

Some of them stay all night before the hanami!

They wrapped up in a blanket with freezing body and waited for hanami's time coming.It's silly but funny,and I can see them on news.

I hope they can drink hot sake right now which is strong alcohol.I've had bad memory because I couldn't walk by myself,and it is easy to get drunk,so fresh men will be able to forget their first hard job!

Any way I will have hanami on Sunday:)

I wish it will be warm ,and cherry will be in full bloom!

This year,I will show you more crowded hanami photos next week:))))
