So tired

Last Friday,I asked my best friend to go out for some drinks.

We had a drink in business district,Marunochi.The building we went named "Shin-Marunouchi building" is in front of the Tokyo station.

On Fridays, it is fun to hang out on the 7th floor of this building. 

There, you can see some bars, restaurants and a wide terrace where you can enjoy staying.

There are plenty of tables and chairs available everywhere so you can have a drink and eat some foods wherever you like.

This floor system is designed for customers who'd like to choose where to buy their foods and drinks.

So it's possible that you can drink a Japanese rice wine  and eat an Italian food at the same time.(if you want to)

The title, So Tired, is actually the restaurant's name.At first, it may sound negative, right?

It must be very funny to imagine when a staff picks up a phone and says, "Hello, this is SO TIRED"

If you have the chance to come and visit the place,I recommend you to have a drink at the terrace to see the beautiful flashing lights from the buildings outside.
When I had a drink in the terrace, I was thinking that a lot of people are still working because of the lights coming from the building while I enjoy my drink.

Last Friday in Harajuku

I miss a city after spending time in a country side. Last Friday I went out to young town, Harajuku. This town is famous for cosplay but there are also nice restaurants for adults. So, both children and adults can enjoy their visit. I didn't see cosplay girls on the day. Probably they have to go to school on weekdays. I'm not sure about that, though:p

The pictures below were taken in front of the Laforet HARAJUKU. Many shops like Top shop and SeeByChloé have all the things that girls love in their stores.

It's fun just to watch people around there. Some of them, even if they're not cosplayers, have a very unique fashion sense. Men wear skirts and make up and it's not uncommon in this town. Everyone looks as if they enjoy fashion and they wear clothes as they please.

Going back to the restaurant,this is entrance.

And the tables were downstairs. I was excited because it was like a cave.
While we were drinking, the restaurant band played Mexican music in front of us.
Another customer requested them to play "We Will Rock You" by Queen. I thought it was an inappropriate choice. But the band didn't refuse it. They were professional! At that point, I felt the that Queen's song was like a Mexican song.

Actually I was full just to eat few tortillas as an appetizer I ordered. Recently I'm dieting and I just drink green smoothie as a dinner and my stomach is becoming smaller before I know! I'm usually happy when I know it, but I felt frustrated I couldn't eat a lot on the day><

After having a diner, we walked around the town.

At last we had some drinks again in a wine bar on the street of Aoyama.
I ordered dessert with fresh cheese and strawberry. This goes with kir:)
I thought this was like smoothie and it was okay even though it was already around 11pm.

Then on the way to the metro station, I found a cafe.
I wanted to have a coffee at last of the day. And this is a cafe I really wanted to come.Why are there charm cafes around this area?

Next time I'll go there in a day time!

Hiking in Kamikochi

It's  a sunny week here in Tokyo even though the weather forecast reported that rainy season has already began.Last weekend,I went to Kamikochi with my family.This is one of my favorite places in my country.It was majestic.

I've been here many times so far.I went there by car this time,it took me 5 hours to travel from my place,Tokyo.

My parents picked me up at 4 am.I love spending my time in a car eating my mother's best packed meal ever prepared like fried chicken and rice bowls:))She actually got up at 2 am just to prepare our meal.haha..While she started cooking,I went to bed.

Going back to the trip,we arrived at the bus stop heading to Kamikochi.We couldn't enter the vicinity with the use of our car because it was not allowed.This is to protect nature from harmful gas exhaustion.

Upon Arriving at Kamikochi bus terminal,walking along the Azusa river for few minutes and then we reached the famous point,kappa-bashi bridge.

Kamikochi is a popular place surrounded by mountains and people come to enjoy hiking and climbing in this area.

Some people bring their backpacks and stay in the mountain overnight.Camping is not only in the mountains,but we also enjoy it near the Azusa river.

I stayed a hotel near the kappa-bashi bridge.

First day,we walked to Myojin-pond from the bridge along the river.It was a very calm and peaceful atmosphere.

Back to the kappa-bashi bridge and after check in a hotel,we enjoyed coffee time with delicious cake:)))

My family eat the same cheese cake every time at Gosenjaku hotel.I choose mascarpone and strawberry mousse:)))

By the way,there are many kappa around here.I've never seen them of course,because they are unidentified creature.

I've never seen anything like this...

Next early morning,I walked along the river again.The air was so fresh.

And I ate nice Japanese breakfast after walking.After check out the hotel,we walked to Taisho-pond.

At last I found lovely flowers like an illustration.

I spent very relaxed time there.Kamikochi is not close to Tokyo though,it would certainly be worth it.But anyone can't go into there during winter,so you should remember this:)

Glass photos

The other day just before rainy season,I went out to Ebisu for some drinks.This is one of Shibuya towns,next to Daikan-yama(I showed there last time).

There are much of young and stylish people compare to Yurakucho or Shimbashi I often go.Later is popular for middle aged people.

Company types and people differ depending on towns,I like to go different places and watch people there.

I didn't see many travelers in Ebisu though there are many foreign people who don't have cameras or rucksacks,so I thought they seem to live here.

There are many embassies around there,and different kinds of international restaurants.It's fun for me but travelers are not interested in it,I think.

I also don't eat Korean food in Europe although I try to eat Japanese food in other countries:P

I tried couscous,something like rice in Greece at first time.....I don't remember detail....

My friend reserved a table around 10pm,and we started to drink just after finished work.

Walk around the town,and then had a light dinner in small bistro,named Bistro in Paris.What a simple name.And also the taste was simple and good.

I'm often confused about difficult and unknown dish name in French style restauant.I don't know it well even though they are written by Japanese.

But the cassoulet was great:)))I was already enoght to eat.

I saw nice view from terrace at last Mexican restaurant.I'm into Mexican food recently,I enjoyed tortilla and tequila.

Unlucky it was cold to stay outside longer.So we changed to downstairs bar and had hot wine at last.

Any way,it's not easy to take pictures at night and with getting a little drunk.

A small town in Shibuya

Recently I spend weekends in west area of Tokyo.I'm less familiar with there before because my living and working places are east.

I've been living the same place for about 4 years and I want to look around different places.

But there are lots of people in the famous Shibuya and Shinjuku ,I don't like crowds and also young people make noise in bars.

So I've been going to more calm and adlut area.

But actually I didn't like there very much in teenager,there are noothing I could buy or want,I could not pay around tens of thousands of yen for only a shirt at that time:/

Well,it's the same as now:P

Actually I go this area to find interesting books and eat good food:)I love book store,I really often go to Maruzen in Marunouchi.If I can't find books I need in Maruzen,there is nowhere else for me to want.But that day was sunny Sunday and I wanted to have lunch in nice restaurant after book store.There are many cafes and restaurants with terrace:)I love it even though I hate sunburn-_-

Any way,I enjoy just to walk around this town,Daikan-yama.It's one of towns in Shibuya.

Walk in few mintes from Daikan-yama station,there are 3 white buildings,they are book stores.

There are a lot of T of Tsutaya on walls.I love simple and funny design like this.

I looked for guide books for this summer trip,but some women thought the same as me,they were already in front of Europe book shelf.So I gave up book,and went to restaurant for lunch at first.Unfortunately,it was already late.I had to wait over 60 minutes>_<  Although I usually don't wait over 20 minutes,I told my number because I thought I could stay in book store!And also there are sofas outside,everyone looked relaxed.

Reading books and talking outside and having a nice lunch and then eating gelato at last.That was perfect Sunday:)

It beginning rainy season in Tokyo from today,I miss the terrace sofa already.

I'm going to hiking to Kamikochi in this weekend.I hope it doesn't rain for that only 2 days.

Poor Wi-fi country,Japan+trip to Korea

I'm writing this in Starbucks,Ginza.I cut my hair for the first in 2 months today and feel so good.
I don't like common hairdresser who talk to me too much,but I found nice quiet person.
Any way,why am I in Starbucks because I can get free wi-fi here.Some people may think it take for granted,but there is a few places to get it for free in Japan.
Of course,McDonald's is okay though I don't wanna go there everytime I want to use my laptop because I can't stop to buy french fries all the time.
Cheap foods make people unhealthy...but sometimes have a sudden urge for them,,i don't know why:/

I've heard it's easy to find free wi-fi in Korea.So when I traveled there,I brought only my cell-phone,,,but that was the beginning of a tragedy.
I had to meet a friend fron Japan in Seoul,and all I know was only her LINE account.
I promised to meet her at a hotel,but another friend and I fell asleep when she supposed to be there.But she seemed not to be coming yet.
If both she and I could use internet at that time,we would be able to meet up sooner.
But we couldn't connect to LINE and didn't know phone number to each other somewhere we were not familiar with.
So we left the hotel and waited her in cold frosty (it was winter) bus stop from an airport.It was around 0:00 at night,many people seemed to get drunk and said something in a loud voice.I was a little sacared because I had no idea what they said.About an hour later,my friend came to us by subway without any problems.

Next time when I will go abroad,I should bring wifi router...
I always lost my way,it will help me;)

Tomorrow is Friday!I'm going to have mexcican dinner;)))))

Meal MUJI

It's been a while again-_-
I had lots of things last month,something good,something bad..There was a short vacation in beginning of this month,but I didn't go anywhere for almost a week.I mean,I had not left from Tokyo.Recently I'm tired of around my place.I live in east of Tokyo,it's old and quiet area.And in west area,there are many kinds of restaurants,bars and shops.So I wanted  to show you about it soon(probably...)

Today I write about Meal MUJI.I know there are MUJI shops abroad,but are they sell  only products?Any way,it's okay Meal MUJI has tastes.I thought the food was not good because MUJI is simple bland.But meal I choose was nice and I could choose from many kinds of food.

It was fun to choose from showcase.There were Japanese dish,Italian,French(only quiche) and ethnic foods:)))Children in front of me looked excited:)I know the feelings.Even though I already decided my menu:p

This fried chicken with chili sauce was very good.Also I liked this dessert,hoji-cha pudding.Hoji-cha is roasted tea and it's bitter than green tea.I've eaten this pudding before in Japanese style bar.It's good to eat after dinner.Normal pudding is heavy a little bit.But it's good to eat it around 3pm:)

Tiny Karaoke room

In this weekend,I went to Karaoke with my friend for a while.Although I love singing,I've never tried to go there alone.Recently it seems getting popular to karaoke alone in Japan.
The Karaoke room we went was too small.That was like my bathroom.Before paying money,a staff asked us,"the room was small a little bit for two people,but was is okay?".
 こんしゅうまつ、ひさしぶりにともだちとカラオケにいきました。うたうのはだいすきだけど、ひとりでいったことはありません。さいきんにほんではひとりカラオケがはやってきてるみたいです。
 そのカラオケのへやはちいさすぎました。うちのおふろばみたいでした。しはらいをするまえに、ていいんが”おへやはおふたりさまにはちょっとちいさいですが、だいじょうぶですか？”ときかれました。


This was not okay.
　これはだいじょうぶじゃない。

After 3 hours later,we fotgot the room was disgusting.Although I don't drink alcohol usually,2 cans of beer made me forget all.We sang loudly and danced a lot in this tiny room.My friend hit her head on the ceiling a lotXD
　３じかんご、わたしたちはへやがさいていなことをわすれてました。わたしはふだんおさけをのまないけれど、２かんのビールがすべてわすれさせてくれました。このちいさなへやでたくさんうたっておどりました。ともだちはたくさんてんじょうにあたまをぶつけてました。笑

When we left Karaoke,it was already dark.
　カラオケをでたときにはもうくらくなってました。

We walked the "Host club town" in Shinjuku and go to my favorite Korean sauna.Of course it's normal sauna-_-
 しんじゅくの”ホストクラブがい”をあるいておきにいりのかんこくさうなにいきました。もちろんふつうのサウナです。

First snow

Yesterday was national holiday called Coming-of-Age Day in Japan.It doesn't concern me though,I was happy to take a day off on Monday.I don't want to work every Monday.
And It snowed all day.Just when such a bad weather,I had to return DVDs to a shop.So I left my place with mountaineering boots.
 きのうはせいじんのひというしゅくじつでした。わたしにはかんけいありませんが、げつようにやすめてうれしかったです。まいしゅうげつようははたらきたくないですから。
そしていちにちじゅうゆきがふりました。そうゆうときにかぎってDVDをかえさなければなりませんでした。なのでとざんぐつをはいてでかけました。

And today almost snow is melting away.Although I don't like snow because it's cold and not easy to walk,I felt kind of sad:/

 そしてほとんどのゆきはとけてしまってます。さむいしあるきにくいからゆきはあまりすきではないですが、なんだかかなしいきもちになりました。

Soup with omochi

Ozoni:one of my favirite Japanese food

　おぞうに：だいすきなにほんしょくのうちのひとつ。

I ate too much every January.Ozoni is dangerous food because of too tasty and make us fat easily.

And also we have to be careful about rice cake in soup because they kill some people every year.Especially old people cannot eat it well and then choke on it..I used to write on new year's card to my grand father,"Be careful about rice cake!".

　わたしはまいとし１がつはたべすぎてしまいます。おぞうにはおいしすぎてわたしたちをかんたんにふとらせるからきけんなたべものです。

　またスープのなかのおもちにもちゅういをはらわなければなりません、というのもおもちはまいとしひとびとをころすからです。とくにおとしよりはじょうずにたべられなくてのどにつまらせてしまいます。。わたしはよくおじいちゃんへのねんがじょうに、”おもちにきをつけてね！””とかきました。

Today I write how to cook ozoni,But before that,ozoni is a soup with rice cakes.We eat it every new year.The soup and shape of rice cakes are different from several families and places.(ozoni map )

　こんかいはおぞうにのつくりかたをかきます、でもそのまえに、おぞうにはおもちいりのスープのことです。しんねんにたべます。スープやおもちのかたちはかくかていやちいきによってことなります。（おぞうにマップ、にほんごのサイトです）

The soup is seasoned with soy sauce or bean paste.But my favorite one is with chicken soup,and fried rice cake.Then mix egg and grated radish,put them in the soup.At last put green leaf on it.

　スープはしょうゆかみそであじつけされます。でもわたしのおきにいりはチキンスープとあげたおもちです。それからたまごとすりおろしだいこんをまぜて、スープにいれます。さいごにみつばをのせてできあがり。

New year trip

I have to start working from tomorrow though,I don't wanna go:(
　あしたからしごとをはじめないといけないけど、いきたくないです。

In the early morning,I went to watch sunrise.Unfortunately it was cloudy.
　しんねんのかぞくりょこうのつづきをかきます。
　あさはやく、あさひをみにいきました。ざんねんながら、くもってました。

I like to watch first sunrise on 1st of January every year.My hometown is near the sea,so I always go to the beach to watch it.But I have no idea where should I go in Tokyo because there are not beach.I was thinking to go to Tokyo Sky Tree in the middle of the night.It would be beautiful if I could watch both the tower and sunrise at the same time.On 31th of December,I ate large pizza and go to bed without alarm setting.It was already around  9am when I woke up.....><I wanna try it next year!

　がんたんにはつひのでをみるのがすきです。わたしのじっかはうみにちかいので、いつもビーチでみました。でもとうきょうにはビーチがないのでどこでみたらよいかわかりません。よなかにとうきょうスカイツリーにいこうとかんがえてました。はつひのでとスカイツリーをどうじにみれたらきれいだとおもったのです。１２がつ３１にち（おおみそか）、ラージサイズのピザをたべてアラームもかけずにねてしまいました。おきたときにはすでに９じくらいでした。らいねんちょうせんしたいです。


I took an outside bath before breakfast.It's already 3rd time to take a bath since I arrived at the hotel:)
If the breakfast is only low egg and rice,I would hate the hotel.

　あさごはんのまえにろてんぶろにはいりました。このりょかんについてからすでに３かいめのにゅうよくです。
もしちょうしょくがなまたまごとしろいごはんだけだったら、このりょかんをきらいになります。

I became one of fan of the hotel.

　わたしはこのりょかんのファンのひとりとなりました。

Japanese traditional new year dish

Ozoni(rice-cake soup)

I can buy rice-cake every time and every where,but it's only January(winter) to eat it.At least I don't eat Ozoni in December.Because Ozoni reminds of New year strongly.When I eat it,that's so new year coming.
My mother's ozoni soup is clear because she don't put bean paste into soup.
We talked about that the chef came from Kyoto because the ozoni soup was white bean paste and vegetables were original from Kyoto.I'm not sure about it though..haha

　いつもどこでもおもちはかえますが、たべるのは１がつ（冬）だけです。すくなくともおぞうには１２がつにはたべません。だっておぞうにはつよくしんねんをれんそうさせるから。これをたべたとき、あぁ、おしょうがつがきたなぁとかんじるのです。

The hotel we stayed:Kane-yoshi.
I promise everyone would have wonderful time to stay here even though it's far from Tokyo.It took over 5 hours to arrive at my place because of heavy traffic jam..

　わたしたちがとまったりょかんはかねよしというところです。
とうきょうからとおいですが、みなさんがここですばらしいじかんをすごせるのをやくそくします。ひどいじゅうたいでいえにつくのに５じかんいじょうかかりましたが。。。

How was your new year?
Long time no see again..
I've backed to my hometown and traveled to hot spring place with my family.
And end of 2012 was really busy at work for me.
Besides work ,I went to Hakone,Seoul and my friend's house.The most interesting was traveling in Seoul.After that,I'm really into skin care.Also taking into hot spring is good for beauty.

Today,I write about our family trip we visited few days ago.
We went to Japanese style hotel where is in Izu;

There are some hot spring spots which have different names and effects for health.
I enjoyed to care skin of my mother and me with a lot of cosmetics I got in Seoul:)))

The hotel put out excellent dishes,they made us happy:)
